Leinster U13 & U17 Badminton Open

There were excellent results for Ennis players at the Leinster U13 & U17 Open last weekend.
Alexandra Troy and Daniel O'Meara (Killaloe) were R-Up in the U13 Mixed Doubles. Alexandra was also R-Up in the U13 Girls Doubles with Kerry Fallon.
Moya Ryan won the U17 Mixed Doubles with Ross Lightbody(Lisburn). Moya was R-Up in the U17 Girls Doubles with Caitlin Steele (Lisburn).

Munster U15 & U17 Badminton Close

The Munster U13 and U17 Close will be held on Sunday 9th Feb in UL. The closing date for entries is Sunday 2nd Feb. Go to the Clare Badminton Site for entry.

Leinster Badminton U15 Open

Lana Browne and Karen MacNamara won the Leinster Open U15 Girls Doubles last weekend in Baldoyle in Dublin. The number 2 seeds defeated Rachael and Rebecca Woods from Lisburn 21-14, 14-21, 21-18 in a very exciting final. Karen also won the Girls Singles Plate event and Lana was defeated in the Girls Singles semi-final

South West Badminton Challenge

The South West Badminton Challenge was held on Thursday 2nd Jan at the Sports Arena in UL. Up to 90 players took part from Clare, Cork and Connacht at U13, U15 and U17 levels. The Clare U13 Team narrowly pipped Cork to take the U13 title. The Clare Team was Ronan Foley, Daniel O'Meara, Conor Power, Patrick Bugler, Seosamh Ryan, Aisling O'Meara, Katie Browne, Leah Hawes, Ziyan Spillane and Susan Daly.
